Dr David Sparks is an Australian trained Specialist Plastic Surgeon with a specific interest in Deep Plane Face and Neck lift. He also performs other facial cosmetic surgery procedures including upper and lower eyelid rejuvenation surgery (blepharoplasty), brow lift, lip lift as well as paediatric / adult otoplasty.

Dr Sparks is an expert in surgery for skin cancer/melanoma (including sentinel node biopsy) and also performs surgery for Head and Neck cancer (parotid tumours, neck lumps, microsurgical reconstruction). For cancer surgery, he has a focus on achieving the most cosmetically favourable results through minimally invasive approaches and innovative techniques.

Dr Sparks has more than 10 years experience in surgery and has trained in major public and private hospitals throughout Brisbane, Sydney and the Gold Coast. In addition to this he has spent time interstate and internationally to refine his facial plastic surgery skillset. On completion of training, he was awarded the Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS).

Dr Sparks has published 16 peer reviewed international publications and has a strong academic background. He has a PhD in regenerative medicine for which he was nominated for the Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award (ODTA) at the Queensland University of Technology. He has also won a number of national research awards during his surgical training, including the Emmett Prize by the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Neville Davis prize by the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. He was also awarded the Poate Family Plastic and Reconstructive Travel Grant to observe leaders in craniofacial surgery in the United States.

Dr Sparks integrates his academic background into his clinical aesthetic practice to bring the most evidence based aesthetic surgical solutions for his patients.
