The Fellow is required to complete at least one research project that may be unique or address the unanswered questions, present a paper at a national or international facial plastic meeting, and write an article to be published in a peer review journal.
This is a self-funded Fellowship program. The application process is a lengthy one, taking up to 6 months to complete therefore Fellowships are granted 6 months prior to commencement.
Currently there are two Fellowship programs run by the AAFPS, one based in Sydney under the directorship of a number of surgeons and the other based in Perth under the directorship of Dr Tuan Pham.
The Fellowship runs for a 12 month tenure.
