About Dr Aaron Griffin Griffin

Aaron Griffin is a Queensland-based Head, Neck and Facial Surgeon with special interests in Facial Plastic Surgery including both reconstructive (skin cancer) and cosmetic surgery. Along side this Aaron also performs routine ENT procedures.

Aaron was born and raised in Queensland and completed his medical degree (MBBS) at Griffith University following a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (BSc). During his studies he achieved the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence.

Since 2012 Aaron has worked as a doctor and later began his surgical training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (ENT). During this time Aaron’s special interest in facial skin cancer and reconstruction was kindled. He has published numerous per-reviewed articles and presented both nationally and internationally wining the Neville Davis & Frank Szlazi Prize for best research presentation from a training Head and Neck Surgeon in consecutive years.

Aaron has a keen interest in research having completed a Masters of Philosophy and more recently is performing research in Body Dysmorphia and developing guidelines for pre-operative screening in cosmetic surgery in Australia.

He is a member of the Australian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgeons, Australian Association of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and is a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland. He has a particular interest in facial skin cancer, general facial plastic surgery and rhinoplasty.

Recently Aaron has taken a year out of his practice to complete extra training in facial plastic surgery in Melbourne under the directorship of Philip Jumeau.
