Procedures : Face, Lips & Neck

Face

The relentless pull of gravity inevitably takes it toll overtime resulting in sagging and drooping of the skin and underlying fat.

A face-lift or rhytidectomy can rectify the development of jowls and loose skin on the neck.

While a face-lift will not halt the ageing process, it will give you a more youthful appearance. Patients can undergo repeat face-lifts every 4-10 years as a preventative maintenance program.

The various face-lift procedures have improved greatly and techniques practiced by many our members use a double layer technique. This is where the deeper layers are supported to produce a longer lasting result.
The suitable age range for a facelift is between 40 and 80 years. Ideally the patient will still have good skin elasticity and a well-defined bone structure will enhance the overall result.

A facelift can be performed alongside a forehead lift, eyelid surgery or nose re-shaping.

Lips

Full lips often create a warm and youthful appearance. Lip procedures can range from minor adjustments, such as collagen injections, to lip augmentation when substantial changes are required.

A lip lift procedure often involves raising the red lip surgically to increase lip height.

There are a variety of ways to create fuller lips, including injections and gore-tex or softform implants. Each procedure has differing longevity. It is recommended that you discuss your requirements with your surgeon to find the most suitable procedure.

Neck

A sagging neck or double chin can result in self-consciousness and a lack of self-esteem. The problem can be caused either by too much fat, too much skin or both.

Excess fat can be removed by liposuction and excess skin can be removed either by a mini neck lift or by a face-lift.

A mini neck lift pulls the neck skin in using hidden sutures. Liposuction and mini neck lift are often combined in a younger patient to correct a double chin, which is due to family genes and not from being overweight. Fat cells removed by liposuction will not return.

A chin implant will often improve the neckline in patients with a weak chin.
