On October 27th & 28th, 2007 the AAFPS held it’s Ocular Plastics Surgery conference in Sydney.
We had three visiting speakers from the Jewel Stein eye institute. Associate professor Ray Douglas MDPHD, Dr Angelo Tsirbas MD and Dr Tenuj gave us a very thorough rundown on cosmetic surgery to the upper and lower lids and periorbital areas We were strongly supported by a number of local Ocular Plastic surgeons.
Thank you to all those who participated. This has been recognised as a particularly strong meeting. It led to a number of new members particularly our Ophthalmological colleagues, and we appreciate their ongoing support.
Saturday night we had a wonderful dinner at the Observatory Hotel and we are thankful to our sponsors Allergen. We had 55 attendees. We see this meeting helped lead the AAFPS from strength to strength. The venue served us well, and as Sydney is the most central location we will probably use it again. We look forward to seeing you all in our meetings of 2008.
